THE 2009 February MICROSOFT.NET "update" to Firefox enables websites to install ANYTHING
on your PCwithout asking your permission ,, just like all versions of Internet Explorer

start firefox, if you see microsoft.net framework assistant add-on, you have cooties!
start firefox and click [tools] [add-ons] and if you see "microsoft.net framework assistant" you have cooties!

Open Registry Editor (type regedit in the Start menu Search box in Vista/Windows 7, or in XP's Run window). 
to Run as Administrator press CTRL + SHIFT + ENTER 
Expand the branches to the following key: 
On 32-bit systems: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Mozilla \ Firefox \ Extensions 
On x64 systems: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Wow6432Node \ Mozilla \ Firefox \ Extensions 
Delete the value named {20a82645-c095-46ed-80e3-08825760534b} from the right pane. 
Close the Registry Editor. 

Open a new Firefox window, and in the address bar, type about:config and press Enter. 
Type microsoftdotnet in the Filter field to quickly find the general.useragent.extra.microsoftdotnet setting. 
Right-click general.useragent.extra.microsoftdotnet and select Reset. 
Restart Firefox. 

Open Windows Explorer, and navigate to %SYSTEMDRIVE%\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v3.5\Windows Presentation Foundation. 
Delete the DotNetAssistantExtension folder entirely. 
Open the Add-ons window in Firefox to confirm that the Microsoft .NET Framework Assistant extension has been removed.


click [Start][Run] type "regedit" (((PLEASE STOP!))) to Run as Administrator press CTRL + SHIFT + ENTER Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mozilla\Firefox\extensions look on the right side for {20a82645-c095-46ed-80e3-08825760534b} Right click on the entry and delete it Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MozillaPlugins look for @microsoft.com/WPF,version=3.5 Right click on the subkey and delete it open Windows Explorer go to C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v3.5\Windows Presentation Foundation\DotNetAssistantExtension ONLY remove the files and folders in that directory Open Firefox and in the address bar enter about:config in the filter box type general.useragent.extra.microsoftdotnet if you find it , delete or reset the string in the filter box type microsoft.CLR.clickonce.autolaunch if you find it , delete or reset the string Restart Firefox without microsoft helping the bad guys

so Microsoft installs TWO a non removable plug-in into there number one competitors browser product,
and doesn’t tell the user, and we are amazed that it reduces the compeating browsers security ??
and they say its a bug that the remove button is grayed out?, OK! all together now , say it with me !
